points(credits) to paly in IBproarcade? I want peeps to have to spend to play.
Not sure if it is an option and i am missing:) I thought I read a post about it here but then i could be mistaken ..lol

They've been having issues getting anything to integrate with the IBproarcade code. So they really want to but it won't be done for a bit if at all.

I already dug through ibproarcade once, I can do it again. But I havent yet for either arcade, sorry. My first integration priority is with DBTech products, and they are being polished right now :)

I use v3Arcade (much better arcade than ibp, IMO). Anyway, DW if you need some data to look at, etc... let me know.

Unfortunately this add-on to the credits doesn't look like it will be happening.

And looking at how this site is going if it is done they will charge about $12.50 for it.
Instead of giving what customers want they just keep adding products expecting us to buy it and continue to support them despite them not supporting us.

Just to clarify a point here:

Darkwaltz4, who coded vBCredits, hs not coded or released anything for DBTech other than vBCredits and it's updates.

As a result i'm not really sure your criticism in this is justified - it's not like he abandoned vBCredits to go create another mod to make himself more money. He has been working on vBCredits - just perhaps not on the specific things you personally want to see from it.

Unfortunately we have to prioritise things on a number of factors, and as much as we wish we could, we can't please everyone.

To be fair just annoyed that instead of telling us it's being worked on we get the "The old download should work for now" when it is clearly stated like 10 times already that it doesn't. As someone who has already spent a fair bit of money on this website it is disappointing to get such answers as:
"It cant be done" "It should work" "Maybe you haven't installed it properly"

In addition to this you are taking modifications that are freely available on vb.org and charging people for it like the postbit tab stuff (which on this site isn't working properly) but it is exactly the same as the free modification that is on vb.org your just charging $12.50 for it - and I don't really see anything that earns the price, so your activity stuff is split up over the tabs which is what I have been asking for since day one and instead of helping out you guys rubbed your hands together and though cha-ching.

It's not about what I want or what other people want, it's about all of your modifications so far you have started, grabbed our money, ignored our requests for features, added features no one anywhere on the forum has asked for and then expect us to continue to push your sites as being the better solution for paid modifications.

The vast majority of features in updates to our modifications come from user requests - to use vBCredits as an example, Paypal integration was one of the most requested features for any mod, so it was made the priority and released.

We've stated several times (and in this thread as well i believe) That integration with 3rd party mods is not top of our priority list - we aim to put features which can be of benefit of all of our users first, then integration with other DBTech mods, and then integration with other 3rd party mods after this - it would be massively unfair of us to spend significant amounts of time integratings mods that comparitvely few of our customers use.

We spend significantly more time updating our modifications than we do creating new ones, and while we understand that it can be frustrating for people waiting on the particular feature *they* want to be added, there are 10 more people who got a feature they find useful added instead.

With regards to your vbactivity/postbit issue - it's hardly like we heard you say you wanted a way to make VBA info on postibts more modular and decided to release a $12.50 addon for vBActivity to do that - we released a totally separate modification that happens to accomplish what you wanted it to. Not only that, but the *FREE* version of the modification does what you are talking about.

I must admit i'm slightly confused that you complain we never add requested features, then attack us when we release a modification that does what you wanted it to for free?

I can assure that no one is getting rich from DBTech, we are making a living - while in a perfect world we would have unlimited time and resources and spend 9 months on every product making it perfect and adding every requested feature and integration, it's simply not physically possible to do.

Apologies about the length of the post, but i was somewhat insulted by the accusation that we are in some way ripping people off.

I took a little time and decided to check exactly how much time was spent on creating vs updating in case i was wrong - here are the results.

Deceptor:

First modification - vBOptimise, released 2nd March after approx 2 weeks porting from existing 3.x version.
Other modifications: Triple Triad, approx 5 weeks from start to v1.
Post Templates (free modification): 1 week to create.

Total time creating version 1 for each mod: 8 weeks.
Time from first mod start time until now: 52 weeks. Time spent updating: 32 weeks (on hiatus since mid december).

David.
First modification - User status and moods(free) released 1st june approx 3 weeks from start to v1.
Other modifications - Random Questions - approx 4 weeks from start till v1
vBDownloads - approx 6 weeks from start till v1

Total time creating v1 for each mod: 13 weeks.
Time from first mod start time until now: 40 weeks. Time spent updating: 27 weeks

Darkwaltz4
First modification - vBCredits II Deluxe (approx 6 weeks to make release ready from joining DBTech - not that much work was done prior to this point) released 3rd july.

Total time creating v1 for each mod: 6 weeks
Time from modification start time until now: 39 weeks. Time spent updating: 33 weeks.

Fillip H.(note that Fillip H. is DBTechs co-owner and works approx 70 hours per week, which is significantly more than the other coders)
First modification - vBActivity, released 26th february after 6 weeks from start to v1.
Joint first: vbShout, released 26th february after approx 6 weeks rom start to v1. (Notice that vbactivity and vbshout were made one after the other but launched at the same time, with DBTech)
Other modifications:
Advanced POst Thanks/Like - approx 4 weeks from start to v1
Advanced @ User Tagging - approx 2 weeks from start to v1
Infopanels 1.1 - approx 2 weeks from start to v1
vBShop - approx 4 weeks from start to v1
Forumon - approx 10 weeks from start to v1 (we have made the decision to avoid doing projects of this size in one block in future, as we felt it was too long to go without updating other modifications)
Postbit Tabs - approx 2 weeks rom start to v1

Total time creating v1 for each mod: 36 weeks
Time from modification start time until now: 63 weeks. Time spend updating: 27 weeks.

Note that Fillip H. is currently spending approx 8 weeks on updates at the moment, and that the length of time spent developing forumon v1 is something we do not intend to do again.

To summarise that information:

Total coder time spent: 194 weeks.
Total coder time spent updating: 119 weeks.
Total coder time spent creating: 75 weeks.

These statistics do not include Dylan, who is our newest coder as he has only released 1 modification and it would skew the statistics in favour of update time because of this.

your activity stuff is split up over the tabs which is what I have been asking for since day one and instead of helping out you guys rubbed your hands together and though cha-ching.
Just as an addendum: For the past 5-6 versions (before our postbit tabs mod was released) you had the option of manually placing each postbit item wherever you wanted :)
