I recently switched to xcache and every so often all cms pages go blank. When clearing the cache the pages return. Guest cache is on. Any ideas?

It sounds like you are out of XCache memory. Install XCache-admin and monitor the variables from there, then increase size as needed :)

I have installed xcache admin and have been monitoring it. It only seems to happen with the CMS (article and section pages) and does not affect any other parts of the site. The cache is not full and has plenty of space left.

Any ideas?

Then I have no idea, sorry :(

We had all sorts of issues with XCache on our server (even when it wasn't used by vBO, just via the config.php file) so we switched to Memcached, but have now installed and using APC and it's working great for us :)

You might want to try APC instead, see if that works better for you.

Then it seems like this is another caveat of XCache, since the code used for the various cachers is for all intents and purposes identical except for what functions it calls (i.e. XCache calls xcache_get() etc) to grab and set the cache.

Would it be possible for you to try APC?
