Legacy Stop thread rating incur wrap around

I notice that when using [center] tags the message area involves the thread rating bit, so you dont get a true center as it shifts it to the left to incorporate this.

The wrap around is fine on text I guess but plays havoc on images.

Is there no feasible way of utilizing the thread rating as you would do in photoshop ie to be on a different layer so the thread rating sits on top of the message and isnt inside the message which would I guess stop us having messy posts.

I understand that ajax is utilised also and may not be possible.

Ok, Is it possible to control the positioning of the thread rating element, lets say it was moved up 'x' pixels and padding was added so this would make the users starting post text move down? The title of the thread starter could be increased in size or able to move the element to the bottom right?

I understand when its expanded it will do the behaviour we all see, but I'm talking about the 'shrunk' version.

Yeah, then your full post will show correctly, and then the thread rating element wont mess anything up?
