Bug White page on sending email.

When I send the email, I get a white page straight after sending. The link on top is this:

http://creativx.net/forums/vbmail.php?do=mailinglists&action=dosendmail&mailinglistid=1

The email is sent though.

Please try adding the following code to your config.php:

ini_set('display_errors', true);

And then send the email again, see if there's any errors on screen.

I get no errors, just the white page again. Mail sent though.

Could you please upgrade my Fillip H. user to such a level that I can send mail to a freshly created mailing list, that only myself subscribe to? If so, I should be able to solve this for you

I tried creating a new mailing list with only myself subscribed and I could not replicate this issue.

I didn't want to send mail to the other list, since there's several thousand subscribers.

Could you please try sending mail to the new "Mailing List" list, and see if you get the issue?

Yes, very long. Then white page.

It's probably timed out, then. I've applied a possible fix for this, which will allow the script to run indefinitely until all the mail has sent.

I'll run some further tests to see if I can optimise anything, I won't send any mails though

I've done just about all I can, managed to reduce mail sending page time by about 4 seconds. Let me know in this thread when you've next sent out an email, if the white page still appears then I'll go through alternate methods to fix it

Sent out 2 emails now. Cleared cache and cookies and everything inbetween. Still the same issue. (White page) Takes extremely long when sending the mail. But it get's sent! Thanks for the effort on fixing this!

This has now been fixed, and your site has been updated

What will happen now is, once you click Send Mail it will insert the mail into history as normal, and then it will redirect to a new page that loops through 500 users at a time (ability to change this number is planned for Final) and prints out their usernames on the redirect screen.
It will automatically redirect to the next page, in similar vein to the AdminCP "Send Email to Users" functionality, until it is done, when it will redirect to the mailing list directory.

Great stuff! That seems to have done the job! However....lol....I used the template I set up before to send the last email, but it seems to not use that now. I just got the first part of my template in the email. Not the bottom part.

I don't understand what you mean, I got the email with the template just fine. It used the full email template you set up, and your text in the middle.

My sincerest apologies Filip! I only looked at the summery email on gmail, and did not open the email. It is working 100%! Thank you so much! The email sending is still running as we speak. So it seems all is working great now!
