Hi there,

i hope that you can help me out!

I just want to reduce the download amount for a specific usergroup. So as example Normal Members have to pay 5 Credits for downloading an attachement in all forums & Moderators should only pay 1 Credit per attachement in only 1 specific forum.

What i have done?

1.) I edited my already existing 'Download' event in AdminCP (no usergroup selected so the event works for all without exceptions)

1.1) I selected all usergroups without the 'Moderator' Usergroup.

2.) I created a new 'Download' event.

2.1) Selected only Moderators & the specific Forum

2.2)
I entered the download amount of 1 and leaved the rest as it is.

Now i thought it should be working but as i now download from moderators account an attachement in this specific forum no credits were charged (the option is ticked!)

What ive done wrong?

Kind regards

I'll have to test this in more detail over the weekend, I'll let you know what I find :)

EDIT: The download event is also not working!

This is what ive setted up:

There should be awarded 1 Credit for each attachement download.

The Attachment system has received multiple updates since vBCredits was first designed, and I recall that the necessary code would only run if attachments are stored in the file system.

Are your attachments stored in the file system?

Yes they are stored in the file system!
Attachments are currently being stored in the filesystem at /home/[...]

Im really perplexed that its not working. i rechecked all option and its looking fine from here so i have no clue why its not working

No, I've not had a chance to look into this yet, sorry :(

I'll post back when I've looked at this further :)

Update: I believe I've resolved this now, can you please re-download v2.1.1 and re-upload /dbtech/credits/credits_vbulletin.php

The issue was with the forum limiter, the forum ID wasn't correctly getting passed to the action function.

Sorry for the delay :(

Its no problem! :)

The run of multiple events is working now ;) Thanks for that!

But the 'Downloaded Event' (the user who shared the attachement should recieve 1 credit / download) is still not working!
The Credit amount is always the same after the download.

May you can have a closer look to this again?

Kind regards

EDIT:
It seems that only administrators get the credit. (no usergroup is selected so it should do this event for all users) Maybe another coding error?

I'm unable to replicate this issue using the steps provided in the OP of the thread.

Have the steps changed? If not:

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Well,

its working. There is just a delay in getting the credits transfered.
The delay should not be a big problem so i can live with that ;)
Anyway thanks for your great support! Keep it up!

Kind regards

You can turn on realtime transaction processing via the vBulletin Options :)

If you have a few minutes, we would appreciate it if you would create a review in our new review system.

Not only do we get invaluable feedback on our products, you also get $1 in free DBTech points to go towards your next purchase for every approved review you write.

When entering a review there is also a field to enter a link to your site so it's win-win. Points to get a DBTech product at a lower price and free advertising!

If you wonder what kind of review we are looking for, Cosmic created what he thinks is a good sample here.
