Hi Dark,

My current Event Manager for Post is set to the number 1 for the option:
Post Amount = 1
Awarded when this action occurs.

However, I notice the discrepancy of the data. I have users with 4 posts but only 1 credit, and users with 2 posts but 2 credits.

My current setting for Word Multiplier is set to disabled. Character amount is set to 0.

So with the above, the user should get 4 credits for 4 posts and 2 credits for 2 posts. Am I missing something here because the credit figures just don't tally correctly?

I hope to hear from you soon as I really want to buy the paid pro version but I can't proceed until I can at least get this to work on lite version, thanks!

p.s. I have updated counters and everything, and even when that user writes more posts it still doesn't give 1 credit per post though its set as 1 for Post Amount in Event Manger.

Please update someone =( I know this is a free product but I can't pay for the pro version if I can't get this working right from the start.

Darkwaltz4 will reply as soon as he is able to =)

For obvious reasons support for pro customers gets dealt with first, but he will reply to you as soon as he gets through that and has some time :)

So there is no priority support for pre-sales as well? Is there only 1 developer who can answer questions relating to the product?

I mean if there isnt even decently fast support for a pre-sale qn, I really do not know how prompt the support would be after I purchase the paid addon. I would hate to spend money to buy something and then receive the same level of support such as now.

vBcredits was never the same activity as it was when I bought addons 2 years ago =(

Also is there any documentation on configuration and setup for vbcredits? I dont wish to sound mean for the free lite version, I appreciate the product but I just wish there is better community support or even responses to such as this. Else I really cant be assured to buy any products from DBTech, just my honest feelings.

We tend to have the programmer of the modification handle the support wherever possible - while rushing pre-sale support may make us more money, it would also leave us with dissatisfied customers :P

I'm unsure if Darkwaltz4 has a complete documentation for vbcredits as there are plans to overhaul the display of the back end to make it much simpler and intuitive. He should get back to you within the next day or so either way though :)

Alright, I cant wait to use it :)

Btw the paid addon the $34 is for 3 months support, but after 3 months will there still be updates to the script available?

Also, after I purchase the paid addon, how fast is the support reply? Will I get support directly by email or does it still have to be via the forum?

When you updated counters, did it seem to stall out, or process everyone to completion? You can also try enabling immediate transactions in the global config to avoid pending discrepancies in the future.

The price is for the product and X months/years of updates - the support is not something you pay for =)

Upon purchasing support is still handled via the forum (as it is the easiest way to ensure people having the same problem can find the solution).

You can see our aims on support times and what your money buys you in our T&Cs/Aims here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/content/171-Terms-Conditions

Hope that helps!

John, I just manually updated every member's credit (points) to 0 again. I changed to Real Time transactions.

And after that in Show Advanced Options I selected every Action Event, though so far only Post Event has been created with Post Amount = 1. Which I believe is 1 point per post.

And after I click on Update Users, a message at the top appears:
Updated 15 Users. It is recommended that you update counters now to process the new pending transactions.

Which is strange considering its already set to Yes for "Process Transactions in Realtime" in global config. So anyway I clicked on update counters link it brings me to a page where I can see "Process Pending Transactions". I clicked on the button Process Transactions and it shows all transactions processed successfully.

But now its strange, it no longer updates the points at all, after I go back and view the users all users have 0 points ? I really want to get this product but I really need this to be fixed. I give my word that once this problem is fixed I will buy the paid addon right away. I just can't buy it if its buggy and just not working properly argh. I hope you understand.

John, I just spoke with Cosmic by msn and I think we figured out how come the points were not adding up properly, something about the users not logged in yet hence why the points were not updated, and even when real time transactions was enabled the points were still not updated properly because any points that were obtained prior to real time transaction being enabled will require the user to login and be online before it shows the updated points.

However right now, I am puzzled as to why even after updating counters the points still show as 0 although real time transactions was enabled and all transactions were updated successfully. I await your response, thank you.

John, I am still unable to see the points being added. I already updated the counters successfully and Post event was setup as well. I even logged in to one of the users accounts and still the points are not updated at all. Please advise. Thank you.

Can you PM me an admin login and FTP info? It sounds like you are doing everything right despite everything being checked.

PS - I was able to fix someone with a similar issue and that might just be the fix for you too :) but it requires FTP access.

I've applied a minor update which fixes the mass recalculator for you. It looks like everything is accurate now, although keep these in mind as I found your event set up this way:
1) It is for certain forums and usergroups
2) It requires a minimum of 5 words
3) its for posts, not threads (that is, the first posts in threads) which vb's post counts dont differentiate between

let me know if i can help you with anything else :)
