When you delete posts / topics they do not lose credits?

Want to activate this function in any directory?

On your post and thread events, make sure you specify a negation amount. Generally it is the same amount as the post/thread amount (or not, depending on the level of punishment you wish to enact for having posts deleted)

Go to the post event, and set the negation value to whatever you want them to lose when it happens =)

instructions do not work with its configuration:

- Post Amount: 1 point
- Post negation Amount: 1 point

When a post is deleted, the point is not reduced? why?

Darkwaltz4 will look into this. To save time you could send him an Admin login via PM so he can check your settings out instantly and try to resolve the issue =)

Yeah I reported this the other day too. Also same when you move the thread to a non credit earning area, they also don't lose their credit. I am on 3.8 What are you on?

Sorry for the wait - I will get on your site to test things out after I have finished some people ahead of you :)

Your settings look correct, and I tested it on your site and the transactions were applied correctly. I sent you a link so you can verify that everything was working fine.

i am working on grafting the changes in the pro version onto the lite one, and will post it to the lite section shortly :) ill let you know when its up

Hello,

I upgraded to v 2.0.0 but I'm still getting this problem, negation occurs only when a post is edited but not when I delete posts. Was this implemented yet in the lite version??

By the way I think the system shouldn't use the negation values to recalculate credit for edited posts, in my case I have bigger values there to penalize users for deleted posts, but I don't want to penalize them for editing their posts. In my case unfortunately the opposite is happening ..

Like many others I'm also considering moving to pro, but I need to make it work correctly 1st.

Thank you.

After some testing, it was determined that if you inline soft delete first, and then perm delete, the negations will work okay. soft/hard delete work fine if you are doing it by editing the post first instead of inline.

im still exploring some options for editing, as posts do need to update themselves based on the settings of your event - especially if the new post doesnt fit the limits placed on it.

Thanks for your response, so in order for it to work I need to delete posts twice? Actually I rarely use perm delete on my forum to be able to monitor moderators & fix any errors that may be made. The system should deduct credits when a post is soft deleted & restore them if it's undeleted .. Can I expect this to work in a future version?

Hi Dark,

I have tried soft delete first then perm delete but it does not negate the credits. I have also tried to edit the post using a superadmin account but it does not negate the credits. I have set post count gain and negation to 0 while only Word count and Word negation has 0.02 in each field but the negation isn't working at all. I am currently on vBCredits II Deluxe 1.1.0 and have a fear of upgrading to the lite or paid 2.0 version for fear of anything breaking and I read from the post above that 2.0 doesn't resolve this negation problem as well.

Is there something I am missing such that editing the post would not negate the credits? I am pretty sure my setup is correct.

Ok for post it works for negation, but for thread it does not. Any ideas how to fix this? The only way I can think of now is to go into Transaction Manager and set it to Moderated and it will be deleted. That's the only way I found for now.
