Question Notification Location - Cometchat

I installed the Lite Version to test but the notifications tabs are appearing behind the Cometchat bar and cannot be seen. Can they appear directly above the cometchat bar or perhaps at the top of the screen as opposed to the bottom in the pro version. Can't really use it like this. Thanks....

According to another member, reducing the fixed width of the cometchat bar solved it. You could try that

Not an ideal solution. You can free up space on the bottom of the screen with a fixed width chat bar but that does not solve the issue. Here is a fixed width bar with two notifications open. One is partially obscured already.



Any additional tabs would be hidden. You could move the entire chat bar to the right and further reduce the chat bar but that creates an awkward chat bar appearance especially in the absence of notification tabs.

Are there any options for having the tabs appear above the chat bar or relocating the notifications to the very top of the browser instead of the bottom?

This must be an issue for many users since cometchat is a popular software also.

Only one other person has reported this issue with CometChat, 5 months ago, and they were happy with reducing the width of the CometChat bar to accomodate vBNotifications.

You could try editing dbtech_notifications.css and changing the .dbtech_notif_box class' bottom:0% to something like bottom:25px; or whatever the height of your CometChat bar is.

This is a much nice solution than manipulating the chat bar. The tabs now appear directly above the chat bar so do not create a messy appearance. Thanks for the help.

I had this problem as well and edited it in the same way as Fillip H. has posted and it resolved my problems..the only difference was I am running the Pro version of the notifications..
