Ok, after a bunch of computer troubles and getting things reinstalled, then trying to get my test domain finally set up, I attempted to install beta 3 onto my test forum, which is an exact replica of my live forum.

Unfortunately, very quickly into uploading the XML into the product manager, this appeared:

I altered the URL to hide the test domain from bots. :P

Have you altered the filegroup table from its default amount of rows? Compare filegroup and download tables, let me know which rows differ.

Sorry for the slow response. I suspect we had to alter some of the tables when previous bugs caused things like files with no user assigned to them. Currently the database in my test domain is completely un-usable due to the failed upgrade. What should I do?

Can you please compare the column count of dbtech_downloads_filegroup and dbtech_downloads_download and let me know if the amount of columns differ?

If so, please provide a screenshot of the Table Structure page in phpMyAdmin for both those tables.

I don't appear to have one of those tables? Here is what I see:
vb4_dbtech_downloads_categories
vb4_dbtech_downloads_comments
vb4_dbtech_downloads_extensions
vb4_dbtech_downloads_extension_groups
vb4_dbtech_downloads_filegroup
vb4_dbtech_downloads_filehash
vb4_dbtech_downloads_fileinfo
vb4_dbtech_downloads_filequeue
vb4_dbtech_downloads_modules
vb4_dbtech_downloads_ratings
vb4_dbtech_downloads_report

And a screenshot for you:
filegroup no download.png

Can you give me FTP / AdminCP / phpMyAdmin access to this test site so I can see about figuring it out? :)

Just a quick note for anyone else seeing the thread: This was resolved, there were some custom columns in one of the database tables that halted the upgrade :)
