Bug Performance issues?

Anyone else have performance issues? I was getting everything set up just right and started to notice a significant performance delay. I disabled it and performance went back to normal.

Does your forum have a very large post or user table?

Yes, 17,000+ users and 500,000+ posts.

That could be the reason, as it's interfacing with those tables when searching for users.

Try turning the ; delimiter requirement on, as that will reduce the load when searching for users as it only targets that specific username when mentioning.

If I turn that on, then the users have to enter the semicolon at the end of the name? I really didn't want to do that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I decide to uninstall this add-on, then won't I be left with a posts that have the ; after a username for no apparent reason? Just want to make sure I understand. Is there any other way to optimize the queries?

If you uninstall the addon I believe you'll be left with MENTION=userid BBCodes in place of that.

AFAIK there's no further way to optimise any query until we figure out which one, if any, is causing it
