We had a working install of this product until we upgraded the forum to vb4.2.2 and imported the Likes from vbSEO (which as now been removed). Since then I've upgraded the Post Thanks / Like to the latest version 3.2.5 pl2, I've repaired the cache and run all of the maintenance tasks (which takes forever since we've over 400,000 users).

Our forum has the following problems:

1) The Thanks profile tab only displays data up to the beginning of April (which is when I first tried to upgrade). We're getting lots of notifications of thanks/likes per day and none are shown on the tab. The last day of data on the tab differs from user to user.

2) Posts seem to only display the latest Thank/Like. Previous thanks seem to be overwritten/hidden.

Can you help please?

Thanks!

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Update: I have discovered a few instances of corruption in your Entry table. After running Repair/Optimize on the tables, 3 entries were found to be corrupt and have been removed.

I have truncated the entry cache and recent entries cache tables, and I'm now re-running the maintenance action.

Update 2: The maintenance script has ran, and profiles now display the correct amount of pages & results based on the "Recent Entries" setting in the AdminCP. Note that if you change that setting, you will need to re-run the Rebuild Button Click Cache maintenance script.

Thanks for your help so far.

I've taken a look at the forum now and it seems that we're still getting new Like notifications showing up in the menu but not on the profile tab. For example, my profile still only has thanks from 1st April.

The other thing is that we can't use the unlike button, as clicking it does nothing at all.

Any chance you could take a look?

Cheers :)

According to the database (non-cached), your user has not received any thanks or likes since Apr 1st. For that reason, nothing else is showing up in your profile.

I will investigate the Un-click issue and get back to you when I have more information :)

Update: Sorry, but I have to ask... Has someone manually modified the database tables for this mod? Considering the amount of things I keep finding wrong with them, I'm shocked that the mod even partially works.

Update 2: I have repaired & verified the integrity of all APTL database tables, and I can confirm the Un-click action is now working as intended.

Firstly, thanks for your continued help with this. Much appreciated!

No tables have been manually altered at all and I'm unaware of anything that might have caused an issue with database structures. I can confirm the unlike button is now working as expected. I've asked for staff to like a test post to see what's happening with the profile tab. I'll update you when I have news.

Cheers! :)

Since you fixed the database tables and the related corruption the profile tab has again started showing the thanks received. THANKS!!! BTW, there may have been no likes in the table you referred to but there were a number visible in the notifications menu - they must use different views of the data I guess...?

There's only one notification alert and it handles all button clicks; thanks, likes and dislikes (and any custom buttons you may have created). The number shown is a sum of all new button clicks.
