Customer
currently on my forums the shoutbox shows on top of my donation mod.
I need to change it so its at the bottom.
I need to change the global start.
I want it to make it to 6, how can I do it?

To put vBShout in a custom location, do the following:

Step 1: AdminCP -> DBTech - vBShout-> Instance Management -> [Edit].

Step 2: Change the Auto-Display Shoutbox setting to Disabled.

Step 3: Write down the the Varname setting. For the default shoutbox, it's instance1. The rest of this guide will assume you replace instance1 with the actual Varname if it is different.

Step 4: Enter the Style Manager and add either {vb:raw show.vbshout_instance1} (vB4) or {$show[vbshout_instance1]} (vB3) to the templates you wish the shoutbox to appear in.

Follow these steps as described and you will have total control over the position of the Shoutbox.
Please note that some locations may not work as intended on vBulletin 3.8, and also note that it is not designed to go in the Forum Blocks side-bar (vBulletin 4).

Hope that helps :)

One more question, where exactly should I go in stylevar to add {vb:raw show.vbshout_instance1} ?
I want it to add it after the donation block.

You would add it in the Template Manager, not in the stylevars. I cannot tell you exactly where to add it, but after ad_location.ad_navbar_below or whatever it's called is probs your best bet :)

Hi Fillip H., I am looking to buy the Pro Version, my question to you would be if this will work with custom style?

I just want to make sure it works before I do anything.
Otherwise = no refund if it doesn't work since I download.
:)

NVM, its working.
Last thing, it looks terrible on IE:
I want to make sure it looks good before I purchase the pro version...

Ozzy, that's not the dbtech shoutbox :P
That's the vSA one.
I disabled the other shoutbox temporarily.

I went ahead and re-enabled it for you.

Ok I see it now, that can be fixed with the pro version, it looks that way in IE because of the shout input area being on the left, for some reason IE don't like it on the left

With the pro version you can change the location of the shout input area.
