Question Context Menu

I'm curious about the context menu.

I can enable it fine and it displays fine, but it's very quick to disappear/close/whatever (doesn't seem to matter where my mouse is or anything).

Is this just the way it works (it's supposed to text the speed of your hand)?

Would there be a way to have it stay up until I click elsewhere?

It will disappear every time the shoutbox fetches new shouts. Because the way the context menu is created is not exactly supported use of YUI dropdowns, it had to be done that way

We'll look into creating our own menu system for the future, but it's a huge undertaking and may not look vBulletin standard - one of the things DBTech prides itself on is following vBulletin standards as much as possible

It's something you should pride yourselves in! Not only the look, but the actual feel of your mods are remarkably vBulletin-standard (in all the right ways).

Well, if any of you ever came up with a way to implement it with the current system or have it be 100% vBulletin-standard I'd like to go on the record saying I'd VERY much enjoy it (I like users, myself included, to be able to chat without having to wait for any real noticeable wait time, but that context menu is quite cool but basically unuseable with a fast refresh rate.
