Vbactivity & Awards Version 2 vs. vB Shop V2

Currently I'm leaning towards purchasing Vbactivity, but have some questions regarding it.

I have an established forum so can I set the start date in awarding points whenever?

Also when someone cashes in his or her points do the points automatically go away? Meaning since they cashed out on the points they start over.

I take it you can't add any categories in Vbactivity?

The forum will have gifts for reaching certain amount of points, but I would want to be able to subtract those points once they told me what item that they wanted. Can this be done in Vbactivity?

On vBShop V2

Is their any advantage with this product over vBactivity?

Will advance user tagging V2 work with either of the scripts above? Also will advanced post Thanks/Like work on the scripts above?

Also are these scripts server intensive?

vBActivity can recalculate from a specified start date or from the beginning of time.

If you have vBActivity points linked to a shop mod (which I would not personally recommend, dedicated points mods like vBCredits II Deluxe are much, much better equipped at this) then their points will go away when they spend them, but it will not affect their activity levels.

You can't manually edit points in vBActivity at this time.

If you want a shop mod, then yes there is plenty of advantages over vBActivity, namely the fact that vBActivity is an activity tracker and not a shop mod

AUT and APTL can both be used as sources for Achievements in vBActivity. I'm unsure what those two mods would be doing with a shop mod, though.

Not inherently, we're always making optimisations to our scripts though.

What I mean is under Define Points for Actions. Can you add a new category for points like say someone tags a post for inappropriate content they would receive some points?

Well what I'm trying to do is get more people posting while in return they earn points for things like a site Thsirt, A site cap, gift cards and even poker accounts accounts with an offshore poker website.

I was thinking more of them as a way for posters to get even more points thus quicker to get gifts mentioned above.

Fillip H. Would you be willing to make an option on the vBActivity when they use some of their points? Meaning it would automatically remove those points used. And I'm talking about paying you to make this option.

As I believe I said above, if vBActivity is integrated with a shop mod, the points they spend will be deducted but it wont change their level. We havee no immediate plans to change that in the future, but if you repost it as a feature suggestion we will take it into consideration for future versions regardlesss

Ok, so if I get vBActivity and vB Shop V2 sounds like that's what I need. I do know that above you said you wouldn't put VBActivity with a shop mod. What would be the reason for not doing so?

So VBCredits II Deluxe will allow you to set up different points for different things done on a forum? I'm looking at the VBactivity points section so those points definitions can be added in VBCredits II?

Like posting a reply back to someone's thread gets them 2 points.
Starting a new thread gets them 3 points etc.

I'm looking to create more activity on the forum and in return they get actual gifts.

Is there an example login of VBCredits II Deluxe?

seems to me like you need vBshop more than you do vBactivity but you want vbactivities points system in vbshop. vbshop allows you so set up customized items (pro only) so you could set up accounts for poker, tshirts and things you metnioned and i'm pretty sure if you used vbcredits you'd be able to specify the amount of points a user gets for posting, thread making and stuff but Fillip H. would clarify this as i'm not 100% sure what all of the ways credits awards points, if you want to set up your own awards and have automated unlockables that require NO points then vBactivity is for you. I'm sure you'd be better suited to vBcredits and vBshop by the sound of things.

Might be an idea to do that - Darkwaltz4 should get notified of it quicker that way. That being said it's the holidays and it might just be taking him a while to get around to questions =)
