Bug Can't search when guest cache is enabled

When guest cache is enabled guests cannot search or use 'What's New?'. They get the error message "This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between searches. Please try again in 11 seconds."

Is there a way to exclude search.php from the cache?

That appears to be unrelated to guest caching, the same message appears even with vB Optimise turned off

This is a older message posted by Wayne Luke at vb.com about that:

We do not have any plans to lower this value at this time. We did lower it from 60 seconds to 20 seconds not too long ago and are currently satisfied with the level of performance vs. load concerns.

You could try and edit the settings, in ACP settings/Message Searching Options/Minimum Time Between Searches set that to 0 and see if that helps you.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it had to do with the guest cache. It would appear regardless of how long you waited.

I excluded 'search' in the exclusion list and that seems to have solved the problem.
