Hi guys, what you recommended to introduce in the sitemap? Better prefer the quality or quantity?

An old discussion on vBSEO advised the first: quality. After passing to dbseo, I generated the sitemap introducing only

showthread.php
forumdisplay.php
content.php

I have not included neither tags nor member profile, nor social groups, etc etc

What do you recommend?

Another thing: the address of the main sitemap that i must send to GWT is

www.mysite.com/dbseositemap.php

right?

Doing that is perfectly fine

Hello Filip,

I write again on this topic because I want to ask you a few things about crawl errors reported by GWT. In "soft error 404" always reports tags.

How can I do for me not to report these errors? Where can I exclude indexing tags and members?


P.S. After the changes included in the new version of vBSEO (tag, mostly) what do you recommend? Can I continue to exclude them (focusing on quality) or it's better to re-index them?

This is working as intended, and you shouldn't take any action.

When there are no tags for a specific keyword, a 404 should be returned.
When a "no permissions" message is encountered, a 403 should be returned.

Unless this happens for ALL members, you shouldn't exclude members from your sitemap.
