I'm still struggling with thumbnails since my upgrade earlier this year. The problem is slightly different now though.

The picturestorage folder is, indeed, correctly CHMODed, as instructed in the download package.

Thumbnails show up fine on the category page.

Preview images show up fine on the individual download page.

But thumbnails do not show up on the individual download page.

Attached images to show what I mean. I'm sure it's just a simple setting or something somewhere, but I can't figure it out!

Could you please revert any customisations to the vBDownloads templates? It is using the old URL for fetching thumbnails, which is no longer supported. This is usually an indication of a customised template.

Jeez. No, I absolutely cannot. A lot of work went into making the downloads look good. If that's what it takes, I'd rather just remove the thumbnail altogether. I wish I'd known this would happen before I upgraded.

Is there no way I can just manually change that incorrect URL?

I'm a little bit confused, I don't see any changes to the dbtech_downloads_download template. It looks 100% stock except for the upvote/downvote arrows. Surely it wouldn't take that many hours to replace those images?

That being said, you can replace the relevant HTML tag with this:
Code:
<img src="{vb:raw download.path}" alt="{vb:rawphrase dbtech_downloads_thumbnail}" style="border: 1px solid black;" width="100px" height="100px" />

For future reference, you can inspect the differences between the stock template and your customised template by opening the template in the editor and then click "View History", then select your current template and the stock template from the list. This will give you a highlighted "changelog" which you can use to merge back any changes that the automatic template merge tool in vBulletin 4 did not pick up on.
