Question Small sound notification problem

My members love vBshout, but they don't like the fact that the sounds go at every refresh, or when the chatbox goes/returns from idle. Is there any way to set it so that it only refreshes when there is a new message and nothing else?

v6.1.0 of vBShout made advances towards eliminating the extra refresh sound, and further advances have been made in the vB5 version.

The vB5 advances cannot be back-ported at this time due to significant architectural changes needed that only made sense since the vB5 version was largely a re-write anyway, but it's something we'll look into for future versions
