When will there be a shop / vBCommerce

That's a pretty important part to vBCredits, so I'm wondering when it will be out.

There should be a shop modification released within the next 2 weeks. It will be seperate from vBCredits however.

Eh... Shop modification separated from vbCredits (one of your partner's mods) seems like a bad idea... Not sure what this vbCommerce will let us admins use as currency so I'll take a look. Hopefully it's not vbActivity points.

That is good to hear. If it can work with vbCredits Deluxe, huge thumbs up for you guys.

Keep in mind the shop being developed by Fillip H. is for forum tweaks like username colors or additional pm space. Not for selling merchandise.

Eh, there's already too many shop mods that allow members to use their currency for forum tweaks like username colors / bold username / strikethrough username / additional pm space / etc.

Not sure if this will be a purchase from me if it doesn't include the ability for selling merchandise / personal albums / digital products / etc.

I remember Dark coded vbCommerce for his old company and it was great how the admin would allow members to create their own shops (sig shops, drawing shops, banner shops, gaming lessons, whatever). Would be cool to see that again.

If you guys are CONSIDERING adding merchandise selling in the mod, what payment processors were you planning to use? Paypal is obvious, but what else... Try adding Google Checkout because it's the second most used payment processor and it's free to signup.

We're looking into integrating eCommerce features into vBShop, but for now it'll remain a customisation shop.

What makes this unique is that not only is it incredibly easy to extend, but by default it will be much better equipped to generate a large number of items. Already out of the box it will allow you to override any global usergroup permission (both yes/no and value inputs) from vBulletin itself and any modification you currently have installed and ever will install, with zero updates being needed from me

Actgually there only seems to be one for VB4 that ever gets updated at all - points market system, and ours should blow that out of the water =P

We don't plan on turning this into a system for selling goods though. That kind of system would have to be incredibly robust etc because of it's purpose, and it's not something we're looking to do at this point in time.

user to user shops trading credits/points for things like services etc will be a feature though - though probably not *fully* fleshed out in v1 =)
