First off I would like to thank those of you who choose to be a part of the closed beta testing. The Beta Product should show up in your Customer Area and be available for downloading. As of now the only payment processor it has is PayPal, I will look into adding more in the future. So far here is the features for the product.

Major Features
Payment Options: Administrators can set donation amounts to Custom, Suggested, or Suggested and Custom.

Interactive Donation List Page: Administrators can confirm, unconfirm, and edit donations from the donation list page

Donation Goal Bar: A donation goal bar can be placed anywhere on your site.

New ACP settings menu layout: Accessing the settings for the product is in a dashboard type menu.

Things I am looking into once any bugs are sorted with the initial closed beta release.

1) Forum Sideblock.
2) CMS Widget.
3) Have the donate submit button work with PayPal's Instant Payment Notification (IPN) so it does not show on the donation list till it gets the IPN back from PayPal.
4) A image added to the postbit of users who donated.

Hi there, after playing around with things I wanted to give you a detailed list of what I'd like to see possibly considered added/changed.
First thing I noticed, the donation bar is way too long (the red bar)
There is an option to adjust height, but no width, should be considered.
Also I think adding a prototype.js would be neat too for the donation bar so it has like a gif effect when the donation bar loads to the percentage donated (hint pro version feature!)

Also everything on the bar should be centered instead of lining up to the left.
I'd also suggest moving the donate now text from the bar to the middle right under the donation bar.
Also I think giving an option for users to use a custom image to substitute the donate now text might be a good idea.
I find myself having users being attracted to the image more than a text.



I'd suggest changing the submit button on the donation page to something like this:

I think there should be an option for users to donate as anonymous and also the option for users to not have donation amount disclosed to the public when they donate.

I'd like to see the option for the donate link on the navbar to be customisable to a different color (Provide the option for users to select w3school html color codes), this will make the donation tab more outstanding than the other ones so this bring more attention from users.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

1) As far as the donation bar being to long it is that way to accommodate the block which is set to be at forum width, so just changing the bar width it would not fill the entire block. if you have any suggestions on how else to display it maybe I can work with that Done will be in the next release
2) For a prototype.js bar I will look into that in the future, but it is not high on the list as of now.
3) Everything being lined up on the left I can see about adding a option to have it centered or left, but it was put on the left to keep inline with the forum look. Done will be in the next release
4) I will see about adding the option to move the Donate Now text to where you want. Done will be in the next release
5) I will also see about adding a option to change the text to a image. Done will be in the next release
6) I will also see about having a option to change the submit button on the donate page to something else. Done will be in the next release
7) For anonymous donations and disclosing amounts to the public is something I will be looking into.
8) For the donate link on the navbar, the color can be changed by the stylevar dbtech_vbdonate_link_color under the group, DragonByteTechMods. It is this way instead of a option so if you have a lime green color it would look silly on a light style. Already There
9) Sandbox is something I have not really looked into that much, so I can't say for sure when I can do that. Done will be in the next release
10) As I stated in the first thread I will be looking into having the donate submit button work with PayPal's Instant Payment Notification (IPN) so it does not show on the donation list till it gets the IPN back from PayPal.

11) For future requests please post them as new threads and separate issues so I can keep track of them.

Yeah if it is the slider here on DBTech, the image will show to all logged in users as it is using the last attached image in the DragonByte Technologies News Forum from the Beta release thread.

Added: Ability to change the width of the Donation Bar Block, ie: 100% fills the whole page, 50% fills half the page.

IcEWoLF Looks as I have the SandBox set up also, let me explain what I did and you can tell me if it's correct as I never used it before.

Set up a account at the PayPal Sandbox site.

Created two test accounts, one as a "biz" to accept the payments, and one as "per" to send the payments.

Added the options to the product to enable SandBox and enter your SandBox biz email .

Tested it out and it seems to work I donated from the "per" account to the "biz" account and the donations were processed in the SandBox, and showed up on the DonList page of vBDonate.

Now with the addition of the testing environment, I have implemented a easy way for admins to see on the Donation List if it is a Real Donation or a Test Donation.
