When attempting to save changes in the admin panel, I will sometimes get an internal server error. Upon checking the error logs I see this...

[19-Mar-2012 16:38:31] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in /home/mw3forum/public_html/vboptimise/core/class_operator_filecache.php on line 70

I could raise the maximum execution time but that's not really the issue here and it would probably still time out anyway. This does not occur every time I attempt to save a change in the admin panel, but it does fairly often. It happens even on simple things like editing a user, which I don't think should be taking 60+ seconds. When the error doesn't happen a user edit takes 3-4 seconds.

ETA: I'm not sure what version of vboptimise I've got running. Where can I locate that info?

You can find your vBO version in the Product Manager :)

This could be the result of your server being too slow writing / reading from the HDD. Does flushing the cache help?

You might also want to look into getting XCache or Memcached installed on your server :)
