Question How to chat 2 members in private

I have enabled PM in DBTech - vBShout, but still i cant Chat with another member in private. Do i need to make another Chat room ?

I used earlier another forum, there if we click on the user in the Shoutbox, then another chat window will come for private chatting.

Kindly advise how i can enable this.

First you need make sure that usergroup permissions allow what you want.And they are accessed via instance management/and edit (probably in your case instance1)..Scroll right the way down and set permissions..Then simply select the person to chat too in vbshout..

I have set the permission "can PM " in instance 1 for all the user group already. If i click on the username in shoutbox its directing to profile page instead of PM box

That happens if you have turned off the Context Menu (like PMs it, too, has a global and per-usergroup setting on that page).

You can still PM by typing /pm username; text where username is the username of the person to PM, and text is your PM.
