I don't think this qualifies as a bug, so I chose 'How Do I?' instead. I was having trouble getting a Tab's menu to display its links properly, so out of not knowing what else to possibly try, I attempted to have the menu redirect back to itself.

Settings > Navigation Manager > Click on Tab to edit > 'Select The Menu To Act As The Dropdown' > and selected the very tab itself (yes, it was available as an option in the dropdown menu).

Yep, choosing to have the tab redirect back to itself resulted in an error which is displayed at the top of every page of the site, including ACP:

Warning: Illegal offset type in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 8561

Any help?

I am unable to replicate the tab it's self showing up in the menu.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

The error message that resides at the top of every page now is kind of a killer because it messes up the formatting of blocks, sideblocks, etc (it repeats the error listed above 14 times, double spaced). So, FYI, to get rid of the error, I tried to disable the vBNavTabs mod, but to no avail - the error remained. The error also remained even after uninstalling vBNavTabs,. And the error remains although I reinstalled the product and backed up the settings from a couple of weeks ago.

Once the error originally occurred, the tab/menu I was working on in vBNavTabs disappeared in the Navigation Manager, which made it impossible to delete.

Also, for whatever it's worth, when I went to the Dropdown menu and selected the option for the menu to redirect back to itself, all tabs AND menus were listed as options from which to select. The whole thing was weird.

Looks like I need cpanel info as well, seems it is a bug in the Navigation Manager it's self not in vBNavTabs I can probably fix it for you through phpmyadmin.

Sorted on the users site, it seems it is a problem with the Navigation Manager, not in the mod it's self.
