Bug Exclusivity not working properly. It won’t let me save changes.

I’m trying to check mark ALL boxes because I only want people to thank OR like OR custom button; however, it won’t let me save any of my check-marked changes and just continually reverts back to what it was. This issue happened before and was fixed, but now it’s happening again

I also want to test to see if you can quickly press all the buttons still

Try turning off caching in vBSEO or any other caching system you may be running.

Alright. turned them all off and tried to save again. Still doesn’t let me save exclusivity changes

I just tested it on your forum and I had no problems saving the buttons, the exclusivity is sticking no problem

Btw, your setup was incorrect; Thanks was exclusive with Like, but Like was not exclusive with Thanks.

What this means is, if someone clicked Thanks, they would not be able to click Like. But if someone clicked Like, they would still be able to click Thanks.

I've corrected this particular instance on your forum, I suggest you look through the other buttons though. Or, if the problem you're experiencing is a computer / browser issue, you can tell me exactly the kind of matrix you want to setup and I'll do it for you

this is interesting because I just tested it and I can still THANK and LIKE . Also, the unthank and unlike are not showing up now.

Are you running some form of server cluster? Your PHP and MySQL versions aren't standard releases, just wondering if this couldn't be the source of your woes...

Thank you for the suggestion. We removed suhosin after doing research on it

How are you able to change it but we’re not? You’re actually able to log in and put checkmarks in?

I want them to ALL be exclusive. You can ONLY click one. You can Unclick it and click another. But only one!

Mine are all set to exclusive, but some members seem to be able to click both still. very strange. Just wanted to confirm this is happening.

It still doesn't save for me - are you able to update your PHP and MySQL to official distributions instead of these "lenny patch" versions you appear to be running?

It was sorta working before I upgraded, but now it definitely doesn’t work. The exclusivity was set last time by you and nobody has touched them. They just kinda chose to bet set the way they are and won’t change

I have created a few extra buttons and I have had this difficulty as well, I have had to go thought the entire set and keep checking the boxes multiple times before I get it set. each time I add a new button I have to repeat the same process over again.

Can you try ensuring any vbseo caching options are set to off?

Alright. We’re on the official releases of PHP, MYSQL, and Apache2 so that we’re using what DBTech uses.

I still get the same issue.

I turned Vbseo off.

Turned vbo off, vbseo off, and it still does not allow me to check all the boxes.

Looks like I'm now having the same issue here on DBTech, even though it worked fine earlier (thanks and likes were set as exclusive, not thanks and test).

I'll get to the bottom of this now that I have a seemingly reliable way of reproducing it

Also while I am here, s3 thanked and liked me (so I should have 2 notifications) but I had 5 (in the drop down notification bar at the top of the site)

Un-clicking a button doesn't remove a notification because that's not possible - there's no way to tell whether the un-clicked button has already been read and we'd be removing still-unread notifications.

Oh that makes things confusing. so I guess you or someone else thanked me 3 times and unthanked those posts.

So hypothetically, I could thank you 9000 times, and unthank all of those, and you would be WOW when you saw your notifications and then see no thanks show up on the page lol (i'd have to be seriously bored/out of my mind to do that tho lol)

But I guess if people clue onto this, then they can just annoy people by thanking and unthanking their posts and making them check their notifications for no reason.
