Bug Edit negation

Hello! Some of our users have noticed this, and it happens site-wide. I have set up a post/thread negation amount so when we delete inappropriate posts/threads, the user doesn't get to keep their credits.

From what I understand, it should only delete those credits if the post/thread is reverted, but the credits get deleted when the user is only editing their post. Help!

Working as designed.

When you edit, it reverts the original transaction (by issuing a negation) and issues a replacement, to cover any changes to that event (such as the number of chars/words). If the replacement has not shown up yet, you have immediate transactions turned off and it is currently pending.

Could you modify it ? so that only new thread or new posts can be added for credits or points. editing threads or posts shouldn't count!

Thread title edit - negation

when i edit the thread, it shows a negative credits. but it no show positive credits.

is it a bug or it will add a positive credit back?

As I said, whenever you edit something, the original transaction is negated, and a new one is reapplied, so that changes to the post/thread/etc can be factored into your event again.

As with all pending transactions, unless you have immediate transactions enabled, the person who originally had the post/thread/etc needs to visit the forum for that transaction to be processed and receive their replacement credits.

I am considering some ways to detect when doing this would be going in circles in the future, but it would only be a courtesy to avoid confusion, not because this is buggy behavior.

I think this is relevant to this thread. I've purchased this addon and have been playing with it in relation to charging users who post new threads to select forums. It appears that a user cannot edit a post if they have 0 credits remaining (assuming it costs 1 credit per thread). A user has to have at least 1 credit, or the required number to make a post, although after the edit has occured the refund will also occur meaning the user balance will remain the same.
