Sorry you miss my meaning. The problem is the way you zip the files for customer downloads...If I use Winrar to unzip it..and so on..

What is the trick to add a custom text to the signature?

When managing a text region in the ACP the demo image to set coordinates is shown.
But after clicking the "Preview Text Region" button nothing happens. (All necessary fields are filled out)

Same in the VBSiganture User Interface out of the ACP (http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbsignatures.php)
All inputs are displayed and filled.
Clicking "Preview Signature" and nothing happens.

CHMOD the /dbtech/vbsignatures/images/signatures folder to 0777 is done.

Your VBSignature installation on this page is working properly.

I am also having this issue.

I'm gonna assume this was resolved by changing the extension?
No. Now that I got that resolved I am moving on to adding a new style. I have most of the parts and new text areas added then proceeded to test it and found the text was not displaying in the preview for any font including the defaults.

Are these fonts custom fonts you uploaded?

If so, please try switching FTP programs - I know for a fact SmartFTP handles these files correctly, I have not used any other FTP program.

The only reason why text will not show up is if GD can't use the font, and the only reason that happens is if the file was uploaded incorrectly so it's not recognised as a binary font file.

You must select a base first......Before adding text..

There's different issues in this thread and they are not all related to the same problems.Yes not uploading in binary may be an issue but some .ttf's obviously upload without problems..So I would say it has to do with the font .ttf you are uploading and not the ftp progarm..

Just to be clear the signature maker is working just fine with the "Default Signature Style", text and all fonts (uploaded and default).
This problem is occurring only on the new style I am trying to use. None of the fonts or text are showing in the new style. However, they are all showing fine in the ACP.

The main problem is installing font's..Your package font does the same,it wont install..always shows invalid font..And the ftp binary mode/program is a myth..Lets not go there..lol..

Working with any fonts ??

Yes it is and thanks to you I sorted this issue.

Thanks Fillip H. for your help so far. There is a steep learning curve for this one, but what I was doing was creating my own files within the directory but all new images must be kept within the original file structure and just assigned to the appropriate signature style.

the base images must be in the part root ... other layers you can have any folder or file structur as you want .. and no uppercase in the filenames or folders

You were aware of the answer..Why didn't you just resolve the situation instead of letting the thread to carry on..
That is a little uncalled for, IMO. There were more problems posted in here than just font extensions and uploads, specifically mine.
