Question Add Text but nothing happens

What is the trick to add a custom text to the signature?

When managing a text region in the ACP the demo image to set coordinates is shown.
But after clicking the "Preview Text Region" button nothing happens. (All necessary fields are filled out)

Same in the VBSiganture User Interface out of the ACP (http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbsignatures.php)
All inputs are displayed and filled.
Clicking "Preview Signature" and nothing happens.

CHMOD the /dbtech/vbsignatures/images/signatures folder to 0777 is done.

Your VBSignature installation on this page is working properly.

Try to activate another font as i did. default font didnt show up for me ... maybe you have same issue

Seems to be the same issue.

Working fonts are:

• Edmunds
• Minya Nouvelle
• Spongy
• Wet Pet

Are you sure you uploaded the default font files? They work fine here on DBTech

There are currently 4 font files in the vbsignatures download pack and all are uploaded to the server:

• default_0.ttf
• default_1.ttf
• default_2.ttf
• default_3.ttf
• default_4.ttf

Fillip H. - I have done some investigation and try many many ways. uploaded new set of fonts and replaced default and it worked. seems it something wrong with the files in zip. maybe try replace them , think they are corrupt or something. they dont really working .. maybe wrong with our ftp while we upload them , i dont know . also tried upload zipfile to server and added from remote desktop without success ... very wierd

What FTP app are you two using?

Am on imac 27 and use yummy FTP - but i also tried locally on server without ftp and still not worked ... but i guess we do something wrong hehe

The issue was that when adding the files to the .zip archive generated by vBeCommerce, I was reading the contents of the font files and re-adding them as strings, which doesn't work for binary files like .ttf and similar file types.

Strangely it seems to work for images... Oh well, it matters not

It's been fixed on angus site, and it'll be fixed in all future downloads

I seem to have a similar problem with KristerSwe's add-on, it is showing invalid font.

I'm unable to replicate this issue. Please try re-downloading and re-uploading the fonts. You may also want to try an alternative FTP program, in case your current one does not handle the .ttf extension properly.

Thanks. Do you think the reasons for the fonts not working are due to some of them not being installed on users pc's.

What do you use to archive the files? I think theres a problem with what people are using to un-zip them..Specifically with .ttf files.

PHP: ZipArchive - Manual - .ttf files are added via the addFile() which is the correct method for adding binary files to a zip
