Hi @Fillip H. ,

Ajax Thread Mod's slowing down my forum. After turning it on 60 minutes, my web server have more than 900 waiting requests, even I turn them off for all forums and there is no thread which override Automatic Ajax Upgrade.

After turn it off, my web server come to no waiting requests again.
My forum has 1 million members & 10 million posts.

I don't know what plugin of Ajax thread to cause this, but after turn it off, my forum works fine.
It is true.

There are many times I request to optimize DBT Mod for my forum because it is large and some mod can easy to effect it performance.
Thank you so much.

Please help me move this to Pro support.
Sorry for posting wrong place.
Thank you.

Bear in mind that AJAX will use more resources by default on the vast majority of threads. This is because AJAX itself is a somewhat intensive process.

It will give improvements if you have threads that people sit spamming refresh on though.

I would strongly recommend not having AJAX enabled for every single thread. It's best used sparingly. For instance if you have a sticky "chit chat" thread, enable it in there, or a VIP forum, enable it in there etc.

No,
I turn it off for all forums & all threads. But it's sill slowing down the server.

If you do that, the mod does not run at all (I presume you meant fully turn off, not simply turn off automatic updates?), making it impossible to affect your server :)

Sorry,
I mean I turn off automatic updates for all forums by default. Not turn off the Mod.

If you've turned off automatic updates for all forums, you can increase the refresh timer to control how often users can click the reload button.

Beyond that, it is impossible for this mod to affect server load when it does not run automatic updates :)
