Bug vBSEO & Custom Rewrite

When doing a custom rewrite of '^misc\.php\?do=page&template=rules$' => 'rules/' in vBSEO and creating a tab with /rules, clicking on it, the tab should be darker blue like it's selected, but it remains light and the "Forum" tab is selected.

I tried using a free tab version and it did the same thing, so I decided to go with DBTECH products (which I love), but this bug is kinda annoying. Is there a fix or workaround for custom templates with vbNavTabs?

*Default skin-- Did not check this as I don't want to switch a live forum over to default skin (and it's been removed).

I do not have vBSEo installed, so I have no way of testing this. Could you pm me a admin account and which tab you are working with so I can see what is going on.
