I think with a few tweaks to how this mod loads images and transitions to the next image that it will appear a lot smoother.
1) Caching of Images: When the next/previous image loads, automatically load the one after it. Currently it appears that there is no caching of images. Even if I go back to an image I was just on it takes just as long to load as it initially did.
2) Image Transition: Right now when clicking next or previous the current image block completely collapses then once a new image is loaded the box expands again, visually this doesn't look very good. I think before displaying the new image it should first completely load and then there should be an admin selectable option for "Image Transition". Whether you offer a fade effect, wipe, scroll, etc. all of these would look a lot better than the current image block completely collapsing before a new image is rendered.
