Bug Shout not working at all....server error.

I've just purchased vbshout pro after using another shout box for a while...I've installed on my test db only which isn't active. I'm receiving this error :

Error: Invalid response from server:



No shouts are working at the moment either. I can type in the text box but shout will not enter. This error remains on both the custom skins and default skin


I'm on a dedicated cloud server so I do I have access to whm/cpanel

I"m going to PM you my ftp/site info because I see you have requested while researching this issue.

The problem was your "Forum URL" setting in vBulletin Options. You had set it to link to /forum, the actual forum, as opposed to the test forum URL. This caused vBShout to fail to load required files since it uses the vBulletin recommended absolute URLs for fetching JS files (for browser caching purposes)

I've updated the setting on your test board and the shoutbox now works fine

Also, you had forgotten to CHMOD the /dbtech/vbshout/aop folder, which would have prevented vBShout from functioning correctly. I've corrected this as well

Did you do something? LOL. There error just stopped randomly?

If so can you PM me the steps or post here..I'm downgrading my VB because the editor is causing issues and this is just a test board. I'd like to be able to fix it without bothering you again. LOL
