While doing a routine browse of my website to make sure nothing was amiss, I thought about a great new feature the downloads area could have. It's also a really simple idea that would involve only a small amount of work.
The ability to rep (give reputation to) users for their downloads would be an incredibly worthwhile feature. On my forums, I use the vbDownloads add-on as a means for users to upload models, textures and icons for game modding. The prospect of gaining rep would be a great incentive for my users to upload their own files.
I'm sure such a feature would also be useful to other communities
