and how do I get one? even though I have no idea what it does I find the idea of a bot intriguing

how does one set up automated PM's anyhow? also what are they for?

You set them up by filling out the "Transaction Alert Sender" option in vBCredits Global Options and "General Alerts PM Sender" option in DragonByte Tech: vBArcade - General Options (availability may vary if these options are Pro-only, I don't know).

They are used for sending alerts regarding transactions and general alerts for vBCredits and vBArcade respectively.

Think you could ever write a Bot type mod?
something where it perhaps posts on every introduction thread automatically

provide options for some automatic PMing too...

you would assign the User ID for it to post under

let it also post in specific threads of the users choice with different variables at different times, all to be edited in AdminCP

provide integration with other services like vbanalytics, letting it post daily reports on the forum in a specified thread



Of course I have no idea how it would work, just an idle idea.
If you ever do take it up though I'd be very interested
