With custom themes is a real pain try to get the colors work together with other seetings for the theme
when color matching is good in shoutbox is messing up somewhere else. and with 4.1.10 is a real mess
Maybe is a good idea to move out some stylevar and move them to the Dragonbytetechmods stylevars, what is a pain
is shout background , shout text color, shout link color .
Unfortunately I don't think this is likely to change, due to the fact that most of our customers appear to prefer the Shoutbox looking and functioning much like their editors without having to customise additional stylevars for their (often numerous) skins.
Those who want it differently appear to be in the minority
strange. i had understand if the settings was taking from a group like blockrow_background blockrow_color blockrow_linkcolor but
now is mixed from different settings.... no offense at all but not make sense
The input area works off of two StyleVars: input_background and control_focus_background. The first is before the user selected the input area, and the 2nd is while the user is typing.
The actual shouts' background area works off of the postbit_background StyleVar.
These stylevars are used for the very same type of inputs as vBShout uses throughout the rest of vBulletin
If you for an ex postbit_background StyleVar the text color in there should be postbit_color ?? now its blockrow_color
in shoutbox window is alt 1 and alt 2. blocksubhead_background (alt 1) and postbit_background so what i try to say here
so if you use blockheadsubhead_background it make sense to use blocksubhead_color of the text in there
My theme is a ordinary theme built from default with only different colors. almost no additional css
Refer to you other mod there all is fine and make sense the red text is #cccccc used red text for testing only
