Question Import issue

Does this importing of the xml have to update all the games?

Because I am having the same issue I had this morning, the acp screen is showing like the img I posted earlier. was on v15 now v16

The arcade home screen ha not went wacky yet, but it will, if I click on a game and press play it locks up the browser, just like it did this morning.

I don't see any real server load during import, so it's not the server locking it up.

hm, perhaps it has something to do with that, since you have a ton of games.

try removing this from dbtech/vbarcade/arcade_installer.php

vbarcade_recount();

Well it went through all the steps in the acp for importing quickly this time, but if I click play it still locks up the browser, I assume, I have to let it finish what it was doing before, and try to import the xml once I am able to play a game, and see if it locks up again.

how many games do you have installed?

remove that line and let me know when you get a chance to try it.

I did remove the line, and reimported, but like I said the playing of games still locks up the browser, I think I need to wait till I can play a game, then re import the xml and see if it hangs in the acp or front end again.

are you sure it only got slow after the upgrade? or has it gotten slow since adding all the games?
if you have phpmyadmin, go to the processes tab along the top to see any queries that might still be running.

It started locking up after the upgrade to v15 and I did not check if I could play a game before upgrading to v16

It may have been a memory issue with FF I closed it re started it, and am able to play a game. Strange though only the arcade was affected.

I re importe the xml with that line removed again and no issues, can play games fine.

Now should I re add that line and try to import the xml again, to see if the acp issue remains?

no; i think ill remove it from the next betas too for people who have lots of games.
