I doubt you're using v4.1.0 of APTL considering it's not even on v1.2 yet :p

Please edit the issue with the correct product version number so that I can advise accordingly :)

This is most commonly the result of CSS settings, namely the background attribute of the .postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a, .eventbit .eventfoot .eventcontrols a { CSS class, in postbit.css.
To fix it, please try the following steps:

Step 1) Remove all the contents of the postbit_control_background StyleVar.
Step 2) If that didn't fix it, please enter the postbit.css file and find the .postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a, .eventbit .eventfoot .eventcontrols a { CSS class, and remove the background: definition.

Hope that helps :)

im sorry - that did not help in neither chromw or FF - in fact i made the problem appear in EI too

i tried both settings stylevar to transparent - no luck

and removed the background def... they still show a back ground in all browsers now

in addition - try to tak a closer look at the picture... where it says thanked/like/dissliked this post... take a look at the background - it continues - it dos not follow the post and have no border on the right side..

In that case I don't know - it's not a bug in the app because it does not appear on the default skin. It's an issue with your custom skin. That solution worked for people who experienced it in the past, though no new instances have been reported for 6 months.

Also, please edit the licence settings for all your purchased products to include the Website Installation URL :)

its really trange because its no problem in IE - but all other browsers wont show correctly... and really strange since the error also appeared in IE when i removed the css def:

i have made no corrections in the templates - i have only changed the style vars - since it works in IE logic dictates that there must be another reason...

Do you have any suggestions regarding the missing border ind the right side ? where the background kinda continues.... its in all browsers

Internet Explorer implements things other browsers doesn't, and doesn't implement things other browsers do. Even with newer versions like 8 and 9, where they have moved to be more standards compliant, it's still pure speculation what will end up working in IE and what won't =p

I really have no idea, sorry :(
It's impossible for me to ensure seamless integration with every single skin, which is why I did as much as I could by using stock vBulletin CSS code when creating that block.

I suggest you either contact your skin developer or someone else on your team that's more versed in the way your skin works.

i know - IE is a bitch.. we have major issues with our programs not being shown the way we want so dont be sorry

however - the background issue... thats both the standard and my custom.. its like it doesnt recognize its supposed to stop at the end of the post.. the border is there (i think) below the background, it just doesnt show..

i did an overlay over your forum where it shows correctly - but mine have this great blueish bar going all the way to the scrollbar

hey :)

i found the answer...

the value of control_background must NOT be just nothing... chrome and FF doesnt recognize that... only IE does...

when that problem occurs the solution is to write TRANSPARENT ind the colour field... that solves it... alle browsers recognize that

so now its just the background not stopping at the end of the post :( really hope you have an idea
