Hi,

I purchased Advanced Post Thanks / Like Pro and I thought I could use a bbcode to hide part of a thread, am I missing something in the settings or is it just not possible at the moment.

I don't want to hide the whole thread, just part or it. I use sids hide hack at the moment and I wanted to use your product to replace it.

Hope somebody can help :(

There's currently no way to access it other than manually typing out the BBCode :)

You also need to check the "Require <> to see content" box to make it work - there will be an option in future versions to have this checked by default in certain forums :)

To clarify in the current beta version you can hide parts of the post. You simply check that you want to hie things by ticking the "require to see thanks" and the use [Hide] [/Hide] tags around what you want to hide =)

Thank you for your replies! I think I have figured it out now.

Would it be possible or is it planned to add something like this below to help users when they have created thier thread;

And is it possible to reveal hidden content by replying to the thread?

That is not currently a planned feature, the scope of the mod is purely to deal with Thanks / Like / Dislike / Whatever other "buttons" you create :)

Was that a no to both questions?

I think it really needs something for the users to show them what part of the thread is hidden.

It was a no to the reply thing, it already has a message saying "This post requires you to click X to see this content." or something to that effect.

Where X is, for instance, Thanks, Like, Dislike, Asdf or whatever other button you created and required click to see content for the post in question :)

I mean the thread creator would need something like this;

Without that I can see my members getting confused.

Also how would I go about setting up the postbit to look like this rather than having the 'drop down' box/tab?

Oh I see, it's something to consider :)

Thus far it's not a supported feature to pry out certain stats, but if you edit the dbtech_thanks_postbit template youll see what to edit out to make it not use dropdown :)

I really hope you can add that, it would make it look so much better in my opinion :)

And if anybody else would like their postbit to look like the picture I posted above, all you need in the dbtech_thanks_postbit is {vb:raw stats}, you can delete the rest.
