I would like to suggest, and hopefully it would be made, a type of plug-in that would integrate different levels of verification for forums that tend to do a lot of "Buying and Selling". These verification levels would be determined by different demands. The SMF forum that uses this is MMO Exchange, and think it's a pretty cool idea.
This is how their system works:
Level 1 verification submits your PayPal information to MMOExchange to keep on record. This record will be the basis for which all following levels will verify information from.
Level 2 verification verifies your phone number. A MMOExchange staff member will call or text your supplied number to verify. (Level 1 needed)
Level 3 verification verifies your physical address. A letter containing a verification code will be mailed to your address on file to verify. (Level 2 needed)
Level 4 verification verifies your photo ID. You will be prompted to upload a copy of your legal photo ID (government issued ID, drivers license, passport, etc) to verify. (Level 3 needed)
There would be different medal or rank images for different ranks - this system would determine which individual would be more secure to trade with.
It also would add the medal and rank text under their thread - next to their name on the main board - like this b049078c68a3b8d716019ea39eb58652.png
Even if a mod were to have images and notifications next to a username under the thread post would be cool. If it is possible to do - let me know and if anyone supports this idea - thanks.
