Is there an instruction manual or readme or something that gives you information on how to do things.

I am wanting to use the hide tag so registered members are required to click thanks or likes in order to see content.

Did a search but didn't come up with much. Product is nice but bit short on the docs except for the install unless I missed something somewhere.

I do apologize for dupe post or such but really did search.

You need to check one of the "Require X to see Y" where X is button name, and Y is either content (post parts, what you wrap HIDE arround) or attachments.

These checkboxes appear when you click Go Advanced when replying to a post.

Ok call me dumb for not following you so what exactly does one do when creating a post with the hide tags? I want general users that post stuff to be able to do this. What has to be setup in the admincp for this to work also.

I again apologize for not following you. Some type of step by step would be nice for some of us challenged people lol

When users reply to posts, they click Go Advanced, then check one of the checkboxes above.

After that, the HIDE tags will work.

So how does the op get it to be hidden first. I want the original poster to hide the information not the person replying to it. I just did what you said and it doesn't hide the post. Created a post under my admin user name and then logged out and back in under my normal user did a replay checked what you said and nothing. Even put another hide tag in the my replay and it still shows. And hide tags are such
[ hide ]stuff you want to hide [ /hide ] without the spaces

I am seriously missing something here sorry for that.

New Thread post has the same checkboxes as I mentioned above :)

You can test it on this site by following my instructions :)

As an admin it doesn't show up. Unless I have something messed up registered users can see that when creating a new post. I just tested it. Created a new post under my admin login and at the bottom of the post there is nothing to check to require.

Me and my other admin need to be able to hide content when we post.

I did however get it to work with my normal user. Was able to see the selections you mentioned and enable them. I then made a post and my other admin's regular user was able to click the buttons to reveal the content.

So we got it working for normal users but still need to figure out why the admins can't see when they are making a new post

Code:
Require Thanks to see content
Require Thanks to see attachments
Disable Likes
Require Likes to see content
Require Likes to see attachments
Disable Dislikes
Require Dislikes to see content
Require Dislikes to see attachments
Require Test to see content
Require Test to see attachments

LOL sorry for being such a noobie about this. I was not seeing that enabling can require click in the button manager was making those visible for those groups. Again IMO a nice quick readme in the package would be nice to see then some of these threads would not be needed.

One more thing. What if anything could be done to make it so that admins only don't have to click a button to see the content? I don't care about other staff members just admins should be able to see it straight out.
