Question How to remove the standard Shoutbox Tab

Hi, sorry to post a second Thread so fast after the first , but I want to remove the Standard "Shoutbox" Tab (or change its permissions, like for Groups). Since there would be many methods to archive what I want, I think its best to write what I want:

- I want first Chatbox (Chatroom) Tab to be only visible by certain Usergroups (the Clan Members), The reason it has to be First, is simple, since most people use the first normally first
- Second should be visible also for registered Guests
- Third should be visible and usable even for Unregisters People

While this can be archived with Chatroms, there still stays the Problem with the standard first Box.
Also how do I get to show the Standard Chatroms in front of Notification and co?

What you want to achieve is sadly not possible.

However, as an alternative, you can setup multiple Instances that each have their own custom permissions, so that guests / non-clan members can access an entirely separate shoutbox instance than the clan members.
Of course, that would mean clan members and normal members couldn't communicate in the same shoutbox, but sadly there's no other way.

Yes, that would be a big Problem, since a new recruit asking another, how to register on the Forum will not really work .

But also no way to get rid of that First one? Doesen't have to be a clean Code solution.

Doing so would most likely disrupt the functionality of the entire shoutbox, so it's not something we can support or advise on, unfortunately

Just thinking, since there is the Optimization Option, to store all into a normal File, would it be possible to trick it out a bit, like maybe a small script for the Server, so its puting the stuff from different instances in there? (Performence isn't really an big issue, Clan Forums tend to be small, and a i7 920 with 12 GB ram is more then overpowerd anyways )

Nah that's not how the AOP works; it only holds the last time a shout was made in each tab.

It would be great to have this as feature, may be permissions could be moved into Chatroom instead of Instance ?
