While viewing a post, you click on the poster's name you get a menu that includes "view forum posts." However, when you click on it you get a white screen. The error is:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method THANKS::parse_bbcode() in /xxx/xxx/public_html/community/vb/legacy/post.php on line 239

Can you help me fix this?

Thanks.

That is most likely due to the i.s.s.w. "security" product. It has been known to cause this issue.

v2.0.2 included many fixes. Have you tried updating to the latest version of this product?

I mistakenly said v.2.0.1 but was actually running v.2.0.2. No, I'm not running the security product - never heard of it.

I've reuploaded all files and reinstalled the product. The error occurs in the legacy "vertical" mode or the wide mode.

In that case there's probably another product that has the same bug as that product I mentioned.

Please try disabling all other plugins running at admin_global then see if it works, if it does re-enable them one by one until you find the culprit :)

I disabled all products one at a time, same problem - finally, I disabled the thanks mod itself - same error message.

I disabled all hooks via config.php - still the same problem.

I then re-enabled all hooks via config.php and began re-enabling each product. As I re-enable each one I get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class vB_BlockType_Dbtech_thanks in Unknown on line 0

However, when I refresh Manage Products, they each show enabled and, as far as I can tell the forum is operating as it should, with the products working okay.

Ohhh I completely misread your error message, sorry.

Open the readme.txt file and redo the file edit mentioned there, that would be the issue. Sorry for the confusion :(

Very good. Per instructions I had edited the file before, so I had ignored that part of the instructions. Now I see that the edit has changed slightly. The new edit did the trick.

Thanks for the good product support.
