I avg roughly 12-41 people on at once. I've been using Inferno Shout Pro since i launched my forum in 2008. The Shout is very popular with car enthusiast on my forum. Since i'm not ready to move to 4.0 yet, im upgraded to 3.8.6 and purchased VBShout. Had no problem with 63 people in there but i do run a pretty stout 12 Core Nehalem Sever with 8 gigs of ram and 6X300GB SAS 15K Raid10 drive setup. I love the new enhancements you made to VBShout. Its a major difference and very well accepted in my community, so thank you for continuing with such a great add on.

Im having a hard time getting the VBshout box to show up where inferno shout did. The VBShout takes over my ad section above the navbar and below it, is my donation plugin. I need it below my donation plugin which i believe resides in forumshome. What variable string do i use to call up the VBshout for that area and anywhere else i would like to deploy it like strictly my VIP area? Thanks

To put vBShout in a custom location, do the following:

Step 1: AdminCP -> DBTech - vBShout-> Instance Management -> [Edit].

Step 2: Change the Auto-Display Shoutbox setting to Disabled.

Step 3: Change the Shoutbox Deployment setting to include the script names of all the pages you wish the Shoutbox to appear on. For instance:
To have it appear on the front page (CMS) as well as the Forum Home, you'd enter index,vbcms for this setting.
To have it appear on every page, you'd remove the contents of this setting.

Step 4: Change the Manually Display Shoutbox setting to include the template names you wish the Shoutbox to appear on. For instance:
To have it appear on the front page (CMS) as well as the Forum Home, you'd enter FORUMHOME,vbcms_page for this setting.
To have it appear on every page, you'd enter navbar for this setting.

Step 5: Enter the Style Manager and add either {vb:raw vbshout} (vB4) or {$vbshout} (vB3) to the templates you named in Step 4 in the desired location.

Follow these steps as described and you will have total control over the position of the Shoutbox.
Please note that some locations may not work as intended on vBulletin 3.8, and also note that it is not designed to go in the Forum Blocks side-bar (vBulletin 4).

Hope that helps :)

Thanks for your assistance. However, i think i just found a bug and i cannot stop it. Someone invited me to a room and i get constant popups, the invite will not go away!

Ok, i got it out of my hair by disbanding the room. I guess we will try this another time once you can resolve it. I got one more simple request. Im using 3.8.6 and need to make the shoutbox text box that shows white, a custom color to match my skin. I tried following instructions on another thread and i was a bit lost since i didnt know how to enter the color in the colours.css template. Thanks again. If you ever need a widely used shout tested, let me know. Mine runs 19 hrs a day with a min of 6-10 and a max of 64.

Weird, someone else reported that issue once but I was never able to reproduce it...

As for the colours thing, just use standard CSS when adding it. You can Google CSS colours for the correct syntax :)
