Category manaagement - Add new category

When selecting to add new category it simply updates the display order, and returns to Category management leaving one unable to add a new category.

v2 should enter a Pro-only Beta this Friday if everything goes to plan

May I ask, why are we beta testing this version if another is right around the corner?

When v1.4 was created, it wasn't a certainty whether we were going to start on v2.0 straight away. We put out Pro-only Beta versions of each release as they're ready to get controlled, yet still widespread testing beyond what local / closed beta testing can provide. Some people choose to stay on older versions when a new major release (like 2.0, 3.0 etc) comes out.

Bugs for v1.4 can also be fixed in v2.0 as v2.0 isn't a complete re-write. That being said, I'm about to release Beta 4 to fix the issue reported in this thread as well as a couple other minor display issues, so you shan't have to wait for v2.0 after all
