Bug Seriously strange behaviour - does not show as its supposed to

hey

I have a serious problem with thank/like...

dislike is disabled but thank/like runs and you can thank/like at the same time..

BUT

most of my users cant...

some of them can thank/like in a post
some can only thank
some can only like
some cant do anything...

its all over the forum ... and yes its a custom skin - but nothing besides the stlevars has been changed

Please advise

and in some posts theres no thank/like box below at all

my users are quite confused...

i have had all my users chip in... unfortunately in danish so i cant just point you to the thread..

but it seems that they can only like admin posts

admins (i) cannot see most of my likes ... its different

the rest i kinda random it would seem... certain users have no functionality below their posts - but a few posts later it shows up when they write another

In your question you stated that the issue does not happen on the default skin. If that's the case, then we're unfortunately unable to assist.

1. Please ensure you have set up the Usergroup Permissions properly. Most of your issues could stem from that.
2. If you are not running vBActivity, please consider upgrading to v1.1.1 BETA. While it does have the BETA tag - with the exception of vBActivity integration - it works, and shouldn't be plagued by the issues described here (though neither should 1.0.1 =p)
3. It's possible that some posts has thanks or likes turned off. There's a form to do so when posting via the "Go Advanced" editor.

i do not run vb activity and i have checked the settings... all check out

so i re-checked the posts... its no. 3

i have 2 posts not 5 min apart by same user inthe same thread - one have both engaged and one have both disengaged... she has not done anytjing different in those two posts..

and it is BOTH in default skin and my custom - no change!

i obviously makes something quite random... for instance all thanks are disabled from admins - but settings have dem on... none of my admins have touched the settings..



how is that even possible

and just a note

no users - nor admins have permissions to diable thanks/like in posts - so they havent done anything

Try upgrading to the Beta then, v1.0.x has some issues with thanks and such getting disabled.

Once you do, you'll need to re-configure your usergroup permissions, and they will have moved to a new screen; Button Management -> Edit (for each button).

If that does not help anything, please PM me with FTP information and an Admin account, and I'll look into it
