i came up with a new idea of a mod that will verifiy dead links and live links. it will be scheduled at a particular time at which it will run. it will place dead links thread to trash automatically and will pm the user on the dead link.

Why do I think that?
(In my eyes) It's a little bit the same as http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f101/torrent-tracker-5854/ & http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f101/torrent-tracker-6204/... You can say that it is something totally different,
But in my eyes, it can/could/would also being used to "Verifying links" to (copied/pirated) software/music/movies/etc ...

Valcav was right on this one - it's unlikely we'll do this just because the majority of sites using it will be doing so for piracy. Not only are sites distributing pirated material unlikely to actually pay for any of our work, but they also lead to increased piracy OF our work.

In addition to this our work being all over sites dedicated to piracy would reflect badly on us - especially when some of our customers are major video game publishers etc whose work is being pirated on those sites. It's just not worth it to be honest.
