Question Guide to making icons?

I'm about to buy the pro version - but I haven't seen any talk about making Icons.....

This is possible correct?

Just a X by X picture in png/jpg/psd format?

Just as a heads up = what file format and size do these need to be created as? (I want to get started)

They can be in any image format and any size, the directory however is what's important; they need to be in the same folder as the current ones, which I believe is /images/icons/vbactivity/ and then the relevant subfolders
