This is already a feature. If a post is marked as "Best Answer", as far as the system goes the thread is solved and the OP will not receive notifications regarding the thread (as that would be rather silly, in the exact scenario you describe).

Your scenario is exactly why we added "Best Answer"

As for your other features, we'll take them into consideration. However, please be aware that if we only implement a subset of the features listed in this thread, the thread will be marked as Implemented and may not get looked at for future versions. For this reason we tend to prefer different feature requests in different threads
