Bug Error when attaching an image

I'm (suddenly) getting the following error message when I attempt to attach an image in a CMS article:

Please try upgrading to v2.1.1pl1 - I believe this has been hotfixed already

Unless I'm misunderstanding the way the licenses work, it'll cost me nearly $60 to fix this error?
