Legacy Add custom member names back

Prior to 5.4.0 upgrade vBshout would show custom member names instead of the default login names. Example, if a user had bought a custom username change from kbank, vBPlaze, etc., it would reflect this username look in the shoutbox instead.

I think this was a good feature and would like it to be re-added.

I don't know how they change usernames, but vBShop uses vBulletin's own username change feature to change usernames which is all that we are able to support in vBShout.

I can't speak for vBPlaza as I don't have experience with it but I'm positive kBank does. Prior to the 5.4.x upgrades the username changes would show, with the upgrades they no longer show. Was there an option or setting added with this version I have overlooked?

Do the display name change if you post a shout?

If not, what about with a page refresh?

I just tested changing a test user's username via the AdminCP, can you confirm whether that updates the username for you?

Tested changing usernames and display names. Neither worked.

vBulletin doesn't have a built-in "display names" feature.

In either case unfortunately I don't think your mods are compatible, then. They probably override the username in some weird way that renders the functionality broken

I have some more information to report which may warrant the need to change this to "Bug".

This product's installation also removes some links other modifications have added to the Navbar (User CP, FAQ, Community Links, etc.,) so this problem may be a hook related issue. I have tested disabling this product and found this fixes the problem. I will try disabling individual hooks to see what happens.

It's not related to the original issue but someone else reported it and never got back to me about it.
