Noticed problems with mod today. After several months, it quit. When clicking on Thank/Like, nothing happened. On all themes, even default.

I haven't added any new mods/plugins.. nothing.

Tried to debug - disabled all mods to troubleshoot + my host, URLjet, who does nothing but VB couldn't get it to work.

So, I decided to upgrade to a newer version. I've tried everything from 2.0.3 to 3.0.3.

Each time, I could see the mod under Settings - but the dropdown never appeared in the ACP sidebar.

Perplexed? Yes I am.

So.....

What version is most compatible with v4.1.10? I mean, I had 2.0.2 running fine before all this happened (but now, it won't run that version, or any).

Worse, when I upgraded, I did it as a test-run. I wanted to see if everything ran okay because I wanted to head over here and get the pro version. Now, with all that's above ^ all 2,500 members have lost all their thanks/likes and it's reset to zero.

Any help much appreciated.

Edit: Fwiw, I backed up all the original mod files off my server before I upgraded or touched a thing. So, please tell me there's something in there that could repopulate member's thank/like stats?

For the ACP sidebar, add your userid to the superadministrators variable in config.php

Once you have that working, try running the Maintenance options for this mod - they have Rebuild and Recalculate functionality that will update any missing values :)

I've always had myself listed in the config under superadminstrators (and always login as admin/superadministrator).

// ****** SUPER ADMINISTRATORS ******
// The users specified below will have permission to access the administrator permissions
// page, which controls the permissions of other administrators
$config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = '1';

Also, I did try running maintenance multiple times and went so far as to rebuild and recalculate every table =/

I even checked for embedded SHELL's within vBulletin, but the errors deriving there were from the mod =(

The maintenance options I refer to would be under the DBTech - Post Thanks admincp menu group, not vBulletin's maintenance menu.

Are you sure you're logged in as UserID 1?

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Yes, that's the maintenance I mean, for 2.0.2 when it stopped working. At that point, there was still a sidebar and I could access that menu. When it didn't fix the problem, only then did I resort to upgrading newer versions.

Yep, I've been running this forum almost 4 years .. I'm positive ;) (config file data posted in previous post).. which is another reason I could see the sidebar in 2.0.2.

Sure, and thanks for offering to peek under the hood.

Not sure how to do that.. do you mean via cPanel?

Can do.

Will do.

Understood : )

Please allow me a few days to get the above accomplished. As you can see my forum is currently in maintenance mode, and then I'm heading back to work tomorrow (fun fun).

Thanks again for your help. I really think the problem is probably on my end, in the very least, and maybe a small combo of me and the mod.

I do indeed mean via cPanel - it's much safer in case of a security breach or something ending up on our computers somewhere. We'd rather hate to be responsible for someone gaining access to your site :(
